¿Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I was born and raised in Boston, went to school in Vermont, did two years of college at Newport RI, and am about to graduate from Marymount Manhattan College with a B.A. in Theater Arts, performance concentration. I live and work in New York and after school I intend to continue my acting and modeling career, (and become a Jedi Knight).
What are your favorite things about being a model?
I love the art behind it and I think also being an actress really helps with my modeling. I like stories / concepts, meeting new people all the time who also love what they do, places of fun and, of course, fashion! I also like the challenges that modeling brings like keeping my body fit and managing myself.
How did you start as a model?
I started modeling seriously last year, but I guess I've been joking about that since I was a kid. I've never been camera shy.
How was your experience shooting an editorial for EM magazine with Leona's collection?
Just reading this question made me smile and laugh out loud! Everything about this experience was great, from Cristina DeHart, the photographer: Jatawny Chatmon for the makeup artist: Joie Hayes, for the location of the ice house, clothes! I laughed and learned every day ... I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Were you surprised to be chosen? How did she react when she found out?
I remember doing my profile, observing the number of candidates and thinking: "Well, what do I have to lose?" But without even imagining that I would be chosen! I was super surprised and excited when I found out.
Do you have any hobby?
I have many hobbies. It was very difficult for me to make the decision to focus on modeling and acting as a career. But I finally did it and that is why it is clear that I love cinema and fashion. I come from a family of musicians so naturally that I love to sing, play the guitar, ukulele, the piano, and even write my own music. I love to paint or really do anything like scrapbooking or craftsía. Unfortunately I have a great passion for food, especially grilled things, which can sometimes be a problem ... (CUPCAKES AHHH!) I danced until the end of high school and everything. I love makeup, writing, traveling, swimming, gardening, the list goes on.
Right now, what is your favorite garment?
Favorite for functionality and comfort would be my borrowed leggings from Danskin, because I have a hundred pairs and everyone knows that I literally use them every day. Favorite as for fun or interesting would be one of the crazy tops that I only have with my sister.
Do you have a favorite artist (of any kind)?
This is easy! My mother, Mary Westbrook-Geha, a mezzo-soprano, is one of my favorite artists.
If you could transport yourself anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and why?
Pprobably my mother's house in Vermont with my sister, because I feel about her and my mother constantly and we have our animals, adorable chickens and our cat, Bruce, who is the best cat in the whole world. If not possible, any tropical and private location
If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
I feel that people always come up with legal, unique answers to that question, but I'm going to stick with the old, faithful, "fly." I still have crazy dreams that I want.
