The actress tells us about "One last and we go", her most recent film, and tells us what we must do to win her heart.

FILM, TELEVISION, SEDUCTION
It was in 2002 when Martha burst onto the scene of the seventh art with Renata, the protagonist of the film Amarte duele and that also served as a tremendous springboard for his acting career. To date, this beautiful girl born in Tabasco has managed to get involved in very varied projects and genres that have allowed her to show her histrionic capacity, among which are: Fuera del cielo (2006), Niñas Mal (2007), Todo incluido (2008) y Sin memoria (2010).

That same boost in her career led her to try her luck in Hollywood., without neglecting his career within the national cinema. What's more, a few years ago Martha decided to go one step further and start getting involved in the production of tapes, resulting from this work the projects Te presento a Laura (2010), Cásese quien pueda (2014) y ahora Una última y nos vamos (2015), where she plays Flor, a provincial girl who witnesses the way a group of friends and family embarks on a mariachi competition.

Una última y nos vamos It opens this Friday, May 29, but before that happens we sat down to talk with Martha Higareda about this role, her career in film and also about the dating and seduction tactics that work with her.

How did the project of una última y nos vamos?
I met the guys from Época Films when I was doing the series El 10 with Poncho Herrera; from there we had good chemistry. Back then they showed me the script for this movie and told me they wanted to produce it. I read it and the truth was that it made me a very nice story, of those kinds of movies with a good message. Time passed and one day they called me to tell me that they were doing the pre-production of Una última y nos vamos. They invited me to participate as a producer and I said yes.

What was the main challenge of giving life to Flor, your character in this film?
I think doing the accent from Guadalajara. I had already had to do the Monterrey accent in Te presento a Laura, and I like it a lot. In addition, I identify a lot with this character because I am also a girl from the province, from Tabasco. Also, I have many friends in Guadalajará.

What do you miss the most about the province?
To my family and obviously the food. It's delicious - she laughs.

What Tabasco dish do you recommend?
Oops! There are so many! We have a lot of delicious seafood there.

You have worked in several genres, in which of them do you feel most comfortable?
I started my career doing drama, with Amarte duele. One day I told myself that I had to try something different and that was when it arrived Niñas mal. This movie did very well and from there they have sought me out to play comic roles. Even in Cásese quien pueda I wrote myself a comic role. I could tell you that I like both drama and comedy, but I feel stronger with the former

What character do you need to do?
I would like to give life to Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, because I believe that she was a woman far ahead of her time.

The tape talks about a group of mariachis, Do you like vernacular music?
Fascinates me. I love when at the end of a party the mariachis arrive or they play ranchera music. I even start to sing - laughs.

So, you throw your palomazos ...
I don't sing well, honestly, but at that time it doesn't matter that much anymore - laughs.

Have they serenaded you?
Never! You think? Truly. Put an ad on the website over there - laugh.

Do you think a man who serenades has points in his favor?
I think so. It is an unforgettable detail. They are one of those stories that you will tell your children and your family forever. Of course, if he's someone you like, because if he's a jerk who put your skin on you and brings you mariachis so you can forgive him, then no.

So, to apologize, doesn't the serenade apply?
Hmm ... let's just say it all depends on the offense.

What can you do and what can't you do on a first date?
I think it is important for the man to know the girl's tastes. Someone once took me to eat lobster and it was the worst thing that could have happened to me, because the lobster was alive, they put it on the comal and there they began to kill it. It was a horrible experience - laughs. I never saw the guy again. I mean, it's not his fault, but he did the cruelest thing in the world to me. So my advice is to get to know the girl well and surprise her with something romantic.

What is the best phrase someone has used to approach you?
One they use a lot with me is: "Hey, do I know you from somewhere?" Then I answer them: "Sure, I'm an actress" - laughs. Another was one day I was walking down the street and a guy yelled at me: “Meat attached to the bone is the tastiest ”. He made me laugh a lot.

Speaking of a man's personal care, what is the first thing that strikes you?
That it smells good, that attracts me a lot. It doesn't matter what lotion you use, but it smells rich, fresh. The smells of the people are very engraved on me.

And physically?
The hands, that they look like a man.

Have you ever had to resort to acting to get away from a date?
No, I haven't recently, but I have thought about it. I think that once when I was in high school I went to the bathroom and agreed with a friend to talk to me on the phone and I pretend an emergency - laughs.

Why should the public not miss Una última y nos vamos?
Because it is a very funny film, with a lot of heart and that talks about family and friendship.
