Interview to Sophie Turner (🇺🇲)

Here's an interview with the enigmatic Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, one of the characters that most polarizes fans between love and hate. La actriz, de 15 años, nació en Northampton, Inglaterra. Ahora, está estudiando drama en el prestigioso Playbox Theatre en Warwick. Tall and beautiful, with light eyes, she could dedicate herself to being a model if being an actress doesn't work out ... but it seems to be working perfectly. She is very grateful for the opportunity that "Game of Thrones" presents for her. After the jump, her words.

[...] You children in the series are very close friends. What do your mothers think?
My mom, Maisie's and Isaac's are getting along great. They are constantly being written, as we do. After a long day of filming, the first thing we do is call each other, and the mothers have a drink together while we play cards. They get along fantastically! [...]

Coming from the theater, surely the script of the series seemed to you something different ...
My initial reaction was that, but that's why I love it, because everything in the series is unique, full of twists, and addicting. Every scene is fantastic, full of emotion, And I couldn't help but think that if the rest of the scripts were so powerful, there was no reason not to. I love it because it is different.

How do you prepare for a shocking scene?
To do that, I have to stop being Sophie and be Sansa. By doing that, it becomes real to me. I often cry when reading some scripts because there are horrible scenes that affect me.

When did you know that Maisie and Isaac would play your brothers?
En mi audición con Maisie estaba segura de que le darían el papel, no dudaba de ello.  Descubrí que le dieron el papel dos semanas después de saber que me habían dado el mío, y me enteré de lo del adorable Isaac dos meses después.

It's great that you met at the auditions. Do you think there was chemistry between the two?
I definitely think we improved each other's interpretation, because Maisie was and is so good that I can't help but feel that energy that she throws into her performance and that feeds my energy. So it worked. We had a chemistry that I didn't have when auditioning with other Aryas. As soon as I entered the room, I felt something fit. After each take we high five and hugged at the end, we became friends immediately.

How is your relationship with your brothers in fiction?
It's great. Maisie is definitely one of my best friends, we spend a lot of time together and we can't help but be friends, because when you spend so much time with someone it is impossible not to know them. Maisie is like my other half. Isaac is adorable He is the most polite, grateful and kind boy I have ever met. He is a brilliant actor. Richard is so adorable that they call him "adorable Richard." He and Kit are like my older brothers, they take care of me and they are lovely. I've only seen Art a couple of times, but the impression was very positive, he is very polite, eager to act and very enthusiastic.

Sansa prefers southern clothing. And you?
He was definitely in heaven. She did not know that the wardrobe would be so complex, there are bright and intricate details in the dresses. Even the corset that I wear under my clothes at King's Landing and that you never see has beautiful dragonflies engraved on it. Northern clothing is simpler, without so many patterns, and never fitted the body, while in the south the figure is marked. Imitate Cersei's style. I prefer southern clothing because it is much prettier, although northern clothing is more comfortable.

What surprised you the most on your first day?
My first day I was so excited. There was a scene with many extras, I was very nervous with so many people, but they were all very nice, friendly and helped me a lot, so I calmed down and felt Very comfortable in front of the cameras, That's when I realized that this is what I want to do. The most surprising thing was how considerate and kind everyone was. I felt part of a huge family when I got to the set.

You had no experience in front of the cameras, did you?
Maisie and I were inexperienced, and it was a little scary, but the surprising thing was feeling so relaxed. I loved. I learned that the camera captures a lot of my face, and that the expression had to be in the eyes. You can tell things through your eyes, and you have to be incredibly subtle.

If the series follows the books, you will probably spend your entire adolescence on the series. Does that kind of attention attract you?
I have to say that I am very excited about my future, especially if it includes the series. I'm not worried about the attention, because I guess it's part of being on television, especially something so big.In the future, I do not know what roles I would like, I would dedicate myself completely to whatever it was, as I do with Sansa. I don't tend to be selective about the roles that I would like to do, I am not specific about one type alone, I like variety.

Would you prefer younger fans like "Twilight" or older fans like this series?
I really do not care. I'm a fan of everyone who's a "Game Of Thrones" fan. The fans are what gives life to the series, without them it would not exist, so what kind of person would I be if I got to choose the type of fans? I love the fans, I don't care what they are like.

How do you face the character so that he is so different from you?
I wasn't looking to make her different from me, I just interpreted her as I thought it should be done. Sansa has good intentions and does not understand the world as an adult would, she sees it through the eyes of a child. I am a very loud and energetic person, and I play Sansa quiet and unnoticed, not to make her different from me, but because she wants to be queen and has to keep her emotions contained to Don't show how excited you really feel.

What qualities do you share with her? Which ones would you like to share?
Sansa is absolutely romantic, she lives in her dream world and ignores the real world. I would love to be as ambitious and optimistic as Sansa and not doubt myself so much.

How many times was food thrown at you at the Winterfell banquet scene?
About 20 times, and it sucked! Maisie tried the first few times, but she doesn't have much aim, and she stained my dress a few times, so one of the team had to do it.

Are you encountering challenges that you never thought you would encounter as an actress?
I never thought about those challenges, because I am living a dream now. But whatever comes with it, be it good or bad, won't scare me, because now I'm on a cloud.

Sansa divides fans between love and hate. How are you wearing that?
Absolutely good. If people don't like Sansa at first, then I'm doing my job well. Es una chica malcriada, and if you don't like it now I'm doing fine. If they still don't like her later on, then I'm not doing the character justice, or people won't have hearts with her. [...]
